This weekend A attended a blow-out Harry Potter overnight birthday party complete with Potions and Runes classes. And chocolate Snitches. We all have our strengths, and I am thinking that organizing this kind of party is probably NOT in my portfolio. I just want to say for the record: thank goodness for other children's parents!

The Wizard of Oz

Last night the kids at A's school put on a fine performance of the Wizard of Oz. What I really appreciated about this performance was the enormous effort that the teachers and staff made to include ALL students that wanted to act. The result? Five or six Dorothies, at least three Tin Men, several Lions, and on and on. An impressive job!
