Tonight I took my first ride on Seattle's light rail--a trip to the airport. The Mount Baker station was pretty deserted on a late-ish Sunday evening but it was a mighty smooth ride. Finally!

Friends joined us for the holiday a few days ago and brought along supplies for making candles. It was a fun project and maybe some kind of reminder that we can and must do what we can to light a candle in the darkness.
